What is Included: In-country program fee includes: All lodging 7 nights based on double and triple occupancy, (single occupancy will incur a single occupancy surcharge for participants), all ground transportation to and from partner organizations and agencies in Hopkins and Belize City, round trip airport ground transfers, purified water, all co-curricular and extra-curricular activities as outlined on the itinerary noted as ‘included’, ½ day snorkelling excursion on Belize Barrier Reef, GSM pre-paid cell phones, entrance and guide fees for sponsored excursions, meals marked as ‘included’ on the itinerary, professional driver/guides, guest lecture facilitators, service-learning projects coordination, iNext comprehensive Travel insurance with medical emergency evacuation, political and natural disaster evacuation, major medical, and repatriation of remains, TEP support staff, and 24/7 emergency response and crisis management support.
Program Description

This course will explore the educational context of children and families in Belize and the strategies that have been implemented to address educational and behavioral health challenges that are shared by communities across the globe. The course will cover the characteristics and concerns of diverse rural populations and the impact of utilizing integrated, culturally-appropriate, behavioral health and educational services.
